Global. Procurement.
My domain is procurement.
Global competition, shrinking margins, major difficulties in the entire procurement system and, in addition, a lack of strategies to meet current challenges – a picture that applies to many companies and can lead to serious difficulties.
Do you feel addressed?
It is very likely that your company also faces these challenges.
Challenges
- There is a lack of purchasing strategies and an organization with trained employees, precisely fitting processes and tools.
- Cost optimization is on the agenda, which is to be achieved by reorganizing purchasing. In addition, rising material costs are to be cushioned.
- There are (acute) problems in the so-called "magic triangle" of purchasing: material availability, quality and costs.
- There is a lack of external innovation in procurement management. Trends that could be developed with the help of procurement for corporate development are not recognized.
Solutions
The solutions are always individual, the principle “one size fits all” is unfortunately not purposeful. Many clients experience this, especially in turbulent times, where fast and secure action is required.
Whether you are a global corporation or a local manufacturer with an international supply chain, I will lead your purchasing team and thus your company to “Best in Class”.

Sustainable crisis management in purchasing:
Ad-hoc assurance measures for availability and quality as well as for cost compliance
- Short-term realization of cost savings in the areas of purchasing, logistics, SCM, etc. via spot market purchasing, design to cost, renegotiation of framework agreements, quantity contracts, etc.
- Securing or restoring material availability: finding new suppliers, securing contacts with existing suppliers, checking relationships with former suppliers and reactivating them if necessary reactivate
- Measures to ensure the quality and quantity of preliminary products: Visiting suppliers to enforce own interests (QA and monitoring of production steps, ensuring that own orders are processed with highest priority)
- Implementation of an information and communication system to/with customers
- Observation of the supply and process chains in order to identify problems at an early stage and to proactively enter into exchange with customers
- Modernization of the procurement management in order to be able to ensure basic requirements in the company
- Pareto analysis: Identify the 20% of parts that lead to 80% of lost revenue
